LA had me at hello! In an instant, it felt like home. I remember enjoying the view of Pierre Koenig's Stahl House (Case Study House #22) in the Hollywood Hills - endless blue sky, endless possibilities. LA seems boundless from up there. That place beautifully reflects the feeling I have for Los Angeles. It gives me a sense of freedom and opportunity, the wind carries positivity, the sunshine simply makes me happy. I feel inspired when in LA, calm and yet electrified. The city nourishes my soul.

I love LA for those and for so many other reasons - all those vibrant farmers markets, the proximity of the desert, the wholesome, conscious way of living, the attitude, mindfulness, creativity, warmth, and friendliness. Simply thinking about this wonderful city gives me butterflies.

I traveled the world for many years and lived abroad for quite some time but it wasn't until I landed in LA that my professional life would take such a great turn.I encountered plant-based heaven, and everything that comes along with it - the amazing natural produce, the love for health-consciousness, the passionate celebration of rituals, of nature, of life! It was exactly what I was looking and longing for. I felt understood. LA embraced me.

The Mix by Liora Bels

Born and raised in Berlin, I connect the city to my roots. Berlin is my Hometown. A rather cold and harsh city in comparison to LA - it was lacking a lot of things I love. So I decided to combine both worlds and take my love and understanding for a conscious, holistic lifestyle, for passion and sensuality and aesthetically refined plant-based cuisine with me to Berlin.

Berlin is a multicultural city with diversity, a mix of lots of different traditions living side by side. It’s a tolerant place that is constantly growing and open to the new. So connecting both worlds and implanting my insights and experiences from LA is an invigorating, exciting and unique opportunity that I embrace.
